Slamp was founded in 1994 by Roberto Ziliani around the idea of Tube, a harmless, totem-light lamp meant to be given as a gift. Since then, the company has become a world reference for decorative lighting, collaborating with architects and designers such as Zaha Hadid, Marc Sadler and Nigel Coates. In 2024, founder Roberto Ziliani was honoured with the Compasso d'Oro alla Carriera award by ADI, the highest recognition in Italian design.
Production is based on patented techno-polymers (the "Technoforming" technique) - flexible, durable and recyclable materials shaped by hand by specialised artisans, creating unique pieces that can never be reproduced exactly the same way. The range covers pendant, wall, table and floor lighting, and the modular Nuvem system for hospitality, restaurant and office projects.
